Mother's Day Tea (with a side of catch-up)

Wow, since it was March when I last blogged, and the Mother's Day Tea that I am blogging about was a month ago, I think it's high time that I stop the world for a moment and reflect and share with you a bit of what's been going on around here...

First of all, and most importantly, I have moved my blog - to my beckyschultea.com address! I will keep the Just Bee 'n Me blog open indefinitely, but I have imported every last bit of it here and will write all my new blog posts from now on right here! If you happen to have a link to my Just Bee 'n Me blog, I'd love to have you repoint it to here: http://beckyschultea.com/blog   Thank you so much - and thank you for your continued patience with my infrequent blogging. I'm hoping to turn a corner on that now with the new centralized website that covers the whole enchilada!

With that said, I really wanted to share these photos of our table that we decorated for the Mother's Day Tea at our church last month. (and I didn't want to wait till next Mother's Day to do it!)  We had a fun time pulling everything together from my stash of vintage serving pieces and linens...

We used my grandmother's vintage rose china, vintage glassware (30+ piece set) that I bought for $10 at a garage sale, a mosaic birdhouse, pink depression glass juice glasses, vintage flatware, vintage embroidered tablecloth and more. It was fun to use large vintage doilies as placemats for the table setting...

And the whole table was crowned with my Mom's award-winning 7-up cake atop a cake pedestal I made by gluing together a beautiful glass plate and a glass candlestick...

My Mom, Sister-in-Law, and Niece (and later my great nephew) were all together at the table, and we had a wonderful time visiting  and enjoying  the yummy food and all the other fun and artistic tablescapes that other ladies put together (I'll post those in a separate post - amazing!).

It was a wonderful afternoon, and I'm already looking forward to next year's tea!!

I have so much new art to share with you, photos of a precious pirate baby shower we hosted, licensing news, and general encouragement and inspiration - please stay tuned and come back and visit again soon!

Thanks again for your visits here - they mean the world to me! I hope with centralizing my blog with my portfolio site that you and others will more easily find me! And as always, you can see what's been inspiring me lately on my Pinterest boards and check in on my day to day happenings on Facebook!
